About the prints

It is our philosophy that a successful print must be a product of personal devotion and craftsmanship. The print is the culmination of experience, inspiration, and application. All prints are created by Douglas in his studio/darkroom in California. A quick summary of the two methodologies of printmaking are described at right with links to learn more about each process.

Polaroids

Prints and Polaroids are archivally mounted and matted on white museum grade cotton rag, handsigned, and numbered by the Artist. Polaroids are offered framed at no additional charge. Image sizes of 30x40 and greater (custom orders) are delivered unmounted. All prints include a certificate of authenticity.

*Images from 35mm originals maintain proportionate dimensions (i.e. an 11x14 image will be 10x14 if from a 35mm original).

We offer quality framing that provides superior strength and archival reliability. All frames use archival backing board and museum grade UV-filtering plexi-glass or glass.

Crating and Shipping

Crating fees (packaging materials and labor) are $10-$40 (increments of $10 relative to print size). Standard shipping is Fed Ex ground (insured) billable at shipment. Alternate shipping methods (FedEx only) can be arranged.

Handmade Ilfochrome Prints

Printed by hand in my Studio, Ilfochrome prints are the most beautiful color photographic prints on the planet. The paper incorporates 13 layers of Azo dyes and is polyester backed, resulting in images of exceptional luminosity and depth. Prints are rated 29 years on display and last almost indefinitely when dark stored.

Premium Ink Jet Prints

Utilizing the finest digital printing and imaging technology currently available, I create fine quality digital prints which are exceptionally sharp, well color balanced, and are easily rated 100+ years for print permanence. I offer these prints as a more economical alternative to my handmade prints.

Your Satisfaction
