Take a Photography Workshop
There's a number of reasons any photographer looking to improve their skills or even find a bit of a creative spark should consider taking a workshop. From my own personal experience as well as hearing from students, I'd sum the reasons up as follows:
- Opportunity: Commiting to a photography workshop provides the opportunity for dedicated focus on your work. In addition, the best workshops often provide unique photographic opportunities (i.e. special locations, privledged access, unique subject matter etc...).
- Comraderie: Participating and sharing your common interests in photography with a diverse group of people can be creatively invigorating. Sharing your work and experiences is significant in one's photographic development.
- Learning: With the right instructors dedicated to your learning, workshops can surpass your expectations for learning and give you signficant insight into your own photographic evolution.
- New Friends and Fun: Maybe a bit obvious, but workshops with well planned out group activities and interaction often help participants to gain new friends and great memories.
